11 Days 10 Nights Kuala Lumpur/ Cameron Highlands/Penang /Langkawi

Day 1 KUALA LUMPUR [Dinner]
Arrive at KLIA. Meet, greet and transfer to Hotel located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur named after the confluence of the Klang & Gombak rivers; it started as a tin-mining settlement in the late 1800s. KL was conferred city status on February 1st, 1972 and declared a Federal Territory in 1974. Today, KL is the pulse of Malaysia, a bustling modern city with a blend of old and new.

Evening: Dinner with cultural show at Saloma Theater restaurant.






Day 2 KUALA LUMPUR (Breakfast/Dinner)
After breakfast, proceed with Kuala Lumpur City tour that will take you to places such as:
· Petronas Twin Towers (photo stop)
· Jame' Mosque - The oldest Mosque in the city and KL's birthspot
· Independence Square – Where Independence was proclaimed
· National Monument – Tribute to our fallen heroes
· National Mosque
· Moorish Styled Railway Station
· Istana Negara (Royal Palace)
· Thien Hou Temple- A colourful Chinese Temple
· Batu Caves – Hindu Temple atop 272 stairs
· Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Center






Evening: Kuala Selangor Fireflies Tour.
Watching fireflies in Kuala Selangor, a coastal town located about 64km northwest of Kuala Lumpur, is an enchanting experience. There is nothing like cruising on a boat along the river in the dark of the night to capture the beauty of this natural wonder. The fireflies inhibit the branches of a certain tree, the "berembang" which line the riverbank.

Day 3 KUALA LUMPUR / CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Breakfast)
Depart for Cameron Highlands (approx 5 hrs). Situated at 1600m above sea level, Cameron Highlands was discovered by British surveyor, William Cameron in 1885 and described as "a fine plateau with gentle slopes, shut in by lofty mountains".

The largest hill resort among the several hill stations in the country, the cool and refreshing air over its undulating valleys and majestic mountains surround the area of complete beauty of vast green scenery, sprawling tea plantations, flower gardens, vegetable farms and fruit orchards are common sight.

Stop-by at the 'orang asli', the aborigine people's house and see how they live.

Check-In at Equatorial Hill Resort, perched at 1,628 meters above sea level, surrounded by majestic mountains and gentle undulating valleys, it is the only resort situated at the highest accessible point of the highlands.






Day 4 CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Breakfast)
Begin the Cameron Highlands tour by visiting The Insect Farm. After that, visit the tea plantation and see how tea is processed. Enjoy beautiful sceneries of terraced flower gardens, strawberry farms, orchards and vegetable gardens.

Continue the tour in a Land Rover ascending to Gunung Brinchang the highest peak of Cameron Highlands, enjoy the surrounding view from a viewing platform, followed by light jungle trekking to the mossy forest to get insights of the unique flora & fauna in this highlands forest.
The local guide will tell you some interesting survival tips in the forest.

Day 5 CAMERON HIGHLANDS / PENANG (Breakfast)
Descend via the newly completed Cameron – Ipoh Highway.


Stop by at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort to visit the Orang Utan Island; tucked away on the 35-acre Pulau Orang Utan, is the world's first and only rehabilitation and preservation facility out of Borneo where Orang Utans roam free. The unique island serves as a breeding sanctuary as well as conservation, research and education center to better understand this endangered species. You will be taken through a 100-meter steel walkthrough 'cage tunnel' to come up close and personal with these primates. In a twist, you will be enclosed in a 'cage' as you observe the Orang Utans roaming free in their natural habitats. Several baby Orang Utans that were born here are the stars of the island.



Continue the journey & cross the 13.2 km Penang Bridge, the longest bridge in South East Asia to the island of Penang.



Penang, often referred to as "Pearl of the Orient", one of the most picturesque and romantic cities of the east. Located on the north-west coast of the peninsular Malaysia, named after the betel nut tree once commonly found on the island.The first British trading post in the east in 1786, Penang now is a bustling metropolis reflecting a uniquely exotic blend of east and west.

Check-In at Hotel located in the famous Ferringhi beach and night market area.






Day 6 PENANG (Breakfast)
After breakfast, proceed with Penang city tour. Places of interest include:
Kek Lok Si Pagoda
Botanical Garden
The Reclining Buddha
Fort Cornwallis






Day 7 PENANG / LANGKAWI (Breakfast)
Depart to Kuala Kedah to board ferry to Langkawi. The boat ride would take 1.5 hours. Arrive at Langkawi jetty and transfer to Holiday Villa Resort, a resort on a truly deluxe class beach situated along Pantai Tengah vicinity.

The Langkawi archipelago is a cluster of 99 islands, noted for its legends and beautiful views. It has good beaches, abundant marine life and basically offers an idyllic retreat from the urban jungle. A duty free port, this island of scenic, tranquil landscapes is a favorite destination for local and international tourist.






Day 8 LANGKAWI (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, depart for Langkawi Mangrove Tour. This tour offers some truly unforgettable sights and experiences of the Kilim Geo Nature Park; an escape to another world. Spread over an area of 100 sq km, the Kilim Geo Nature Park features a beautiful mix of well-protected green mangrove forests, isolated white beaches and blue lagoons. As you cruise down the calm, winding river, you will observe the wonders of the park's marine ecosystem, its flora and fauna and the natural inhabitants such as the over-hanging 'Bogak Trees', Brown Eagles, Tree Crabs, Monitor Lizards and Macaques.




Also enjoy the scenic and spectacular views of unique limestone rock formations emerging from the floor of the mangrove swamp and seabed. These fascinating geological wonders have been given various names such as the Temple Of Borobodur, the Elephant Stone and the Hanging Gardens. Explore the Gua Kelawar (Bat Cave) and seeped in fabled tales of mysteries and romance. Finally, enjoy watching the farming of fish in specialized farms in the open sea before having lunch.





Day 9 & 10 LANGKAWI (Breakfast)
Langkawi; Free at leisure.

Day 11 LANGKAWI (Breakfast)
Transfer to Langkawi airport for flight to KL International Airport . Tour ends.
